The MDS Headquarters and laboratory is an attractive, purpose rebuilt art-deco building originally constructed in 1928 as the Sealtest Ice Cream Factory. The site is within walking distance of the center of St. Petersburg and the College of Marine Sciences of the University of South Florida. It has a high-bay laboratory and access from the rear of the building to the sea via Salt Creek.
